CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP is accepting SEALED BIDS for 12 Sections of ALUMINUM DOCK, 4’ X 16”, sold as is. Bids due by May 13, 2026-5:00 PM. Crystal Township, PO BOX 358, 217 W Park Street. 989-235-4800.

PROHIBITED WASTES

The following prohibited wastes cannot be accepted under any condition or from any source:

• Hazardous or toxic waste as defined by local, state or federal laws or regulations

- Hazardous wastes are materials that are ignitable, corrosive, reactive or toxic, as well as listed wastes, such as pesticides, herbicides, solvents and their containers

• Hazardous waste containers/labels

• Explosives, ammunition and firearms

• Low-level radioactive waste and radioactive labeled containers (including, but not limited to, TENORM)

• PCBs or materials containing PCBs (including, but not limited to, ballasts and transformers)

• Materials grossly contaminated with PFAS (e.g., PFAS-containing firefighting foam)

• Lead acid batteries

• Lithium-ion batteries

• Liquid wastes (or free liquids)

• Sewage and septic waste

• Oil-based paint

• Used oil

• Hot ashes (including, but not limited to, cigarette paraphernalia, hot coals and/or wood)

• Materials that adversely affect the liner or leachate system

RECYCLE COMPACTORS

ACCEPTED MATERIALS:

  -CARDBOARD

-Flatten boxes, remove plastic & foam

-Tape & Labels OK

-Clean pizza boxes

-CARTONS

-Coated paperboard that has held a liquid including milk boxes, juice boxes, and broth.  Keep caps on

-GLASS BOTTLES & JARS

-Clear & colored food or beverage glass

-Remove metal lids, labels are OK

-PLASTIC BOTTLES, JUGS, & TUBS

-Clean, rigid plastic only 1-7

-Labels are OK

-Rinse & Keep CAP ON

-PAPER, PAPERBOARD, & MAGAZINES

-Remove Plastic bags

-No shredded paper

-METAL CANS & FOIL

-Must be CLEAN

-Aerosol cans must be empty

-Labels are OK

NOT ACCEPTED

-Anything larger than 2' x 2'

-Anything that tangles, chain, cords, cables, hoses, tarps, tubing & Wires

-Batteries

-Doors

-Electronics

-Foam or Foam Containers

-Giftwrap

-Hazardous Waste

-Anything ignitable, corrosive, reactive or toxic

-includes Propane & helium tanks

-Medical Waste

-Mirrors

-Packaging Materials

-No soft or flexible plastic -plastic bags, bubble bags

-Pyrex & Bakeware

-Shredded Paper

-Window Glass
